The 8th Annual FREDDY© Awards performance is just weeks away! We are thrilled to be presenting this one of a kind program that recognizes musical theatre students from all over the Lehigh Valley once again on Thursday, May 27. As in past years, our presenting partner, WFMZ-TV will bring every exciting moment to you via a live broadcast starting at 7pm.

Since its inception in 2003, the FREDDY© Awards program has had a tremendous impact on our community in so many ways. The program not only gives significant exposure to the talent and hard work of hundreds of Lehigh Valley area students from 29 schools, but it also helps them to develop important life skills, as well providing opportunities for college scholarships, internships, and other community awards. The positive feedback we get regarding all aspects of the program is overwhelming.

While the excitement builds as we prepare for another great year of the FREDDY© Awards, we must also face the enormous, and rising, costs of producing the program. Several returning and new sponsors have partnered with us in support of the program, though due to budget cuts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, we have lost a significant grant that helped us to fund much of the program last year.

We are reaching out to our members and other supporters to help us make ends meet for this program. We ask that you consider a tax deductible contribution of any size to the State Theatre FREDDY© Awards, and hope that you will take great satisfaction in knowing that you are helping to sustain the viability of this wonderful program. Contributions of $100 or more will be recognized as a "Community Supporter" in our program book, and if you contribute $150 or more, we will send you a collectible limited edition 2010 FREDDY© Awards Bear.*
